In this video I discuss Polaris's decision to discontinue Timbersled snow bike conversion kits by 2025, and how it impacts the Snowbike Industry.
Timbersled, https://www.timbersled.com acquired by Polaris in 2015, allowed dirt bikes to become snow bikes for winter backcountry and are far easier to ride than a Snowmobile.
In this video I explore Timbersled's history, innovations like the industry's first 3" track, their Riot model, and the current snow bike market. With companies like Yamaha discontinuing their line of Snowmobiles, Arctic Cat shutting their doors, and KTM almost going bankrupt, the Powersports industry is reeling a bit in 2025. Despite this, we're optimistic about snow biking's future, with dedicated snowbikes being a distant potential scenario and costing $15,000 +.
I'll share my views and thoughts on the industry. There's now just the big 4 Snowbike companies left, and we are stoked to be working with them all, riding their kits, and getting more people out on a snow bike.
